Youth restiveness shows failure of APC in Niger – PDP

The Niger state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has come hard on the state government over the youth’s restiveness the state, saying it shows the failure of the APC-led government in the state.

In the last three days, the residents of Minna metropolis, Niger State have been under the reign of terror, violence and bloodshed by youths with no end in sight.

The PDP State Publicity Secretary, Suleiman Aliyu in a statement said the Governor Abubakar Sani Bello government has run short of ideas on how to deal with the situation, describing the incident as evidence of the failure, ineptitude and grandiose incompetence of the state government.

Aliyu recalled that “only a few months ago, the same orgy of violence took over Minna, the state capital but nothing was done, no one was arrested or prosecuted while properties worth millions were destroyed, innocent citizens injured and the incompetent APC Government looked away like nothing happened.

“The Peoples Democratic Party will not sit idly as the state veers off course because of the uninspiring and unimaginative inertia of Governor Sani Bello’s APC Government.

“Clearly, the Peoples Democratic Party Niger State can draw a nexus between the failed APC Government of Niger state, youth joblessness and violence, especially with Governor Bello approach to governance,”
