Police find gunshot victim in garage of St-Leonard condo building

A 63-year-old man was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds in the garage of a condo building in the St-Leonard on Tuesday evening, Montreal police say.

SPVM spokesperson Véronique Comtois said police got a 911 call at about 7:30 p.m. reporting the sound of gunshots in a condo building on Jean-Talon Blvd. E., near Michelet St..

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man with gunshot wounds in the garage of the building. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Comtois said Michelet St. was closed off at Jean-Talon Blvd. at 10 p.m. Tuesday and would remain closed for several hours as investigators with the SPVM’s Major Crime’s Unit analyzed the scene.
