I’m in Serie D to revive my career –Oduamadi

Sports Extra reports.

The 30-year-old, who scored a memorable hat-trick for the Super Eagles in their 6-1 win over Tahiti at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil, says he did not give up on his career despite being without a club after he was released by Albanian club KF Tirana in 2019.

Oduamadi has not played competitively since his last appearance for Albania side Tirana against KS Kastrioti Kruj in May 2019 but believes he still has plenty to offer.

”It has been a tough moment for me not playing active football for over two years now,” Oduamadi, who scored four goals in 14 appearances for three-time African champions Nigeria said.

“It was tough getting a team because I was not playing but I’m confident this move to Caronnese will bring me back up.

”I’ve stayed in shape, trained daily and physically ready for any opportunity.

”I still have something to offer and will continue to stay mentally and physically ready. Football is my life.”

The former AC Milan forward was shipped out on loan in quick succession to the Italian quintet of Torino, Varese, Brescia, Crotone and Latina.

He also played for HJK Helsinki of Finland and Tirana.

‪Despite playing two of the three matches at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil, his international career stalled and he missed out on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
